VIRAL VIDEO SPARKS CONCERN ONLINE: IS THIS REALLY A DANGEROUS PARASITIC INFECTION?

A disturbing video circulating on social media has caused widespread concern, showing a person’s body covered with what appears to be larvae or parasites, leading many viewers to fear a severe skin infection.

However, according to medical experts and fact-checking of similar viral content, the video does not show a real parasitic infection.

In most documented cases, such visuals are created using beans, seeds, or similar objects,

artificially attached to the skin with adhesive substances to produce shocking and misleading content.

Medical professionals emphasize that a parasitic skin infection of this scale is extremely unlikely,

especially without visible signs such as open wounds, bleeding, severe inflammation, or acute medical distress.
