Woman k!lls her husband on honeymoon after he refuses to do s…

What should have been the happiest chapter of a new life became one of the darkest crime stories India has seen in years. On May 20, businessman Raja Raghuvanshi arrived in the misty hills of Shillong with his new wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi. To friends and family, it was the beginning of a dream honeymoon filled with love and promise. But behind the smiles, investigators say, a carefully constructed lie was already in motion.

Just days later, Raja vanished. When his body was discovered in a remote canyon, the scene was grim — decomposition had begun, his identification was missing, and even his wedding ring had disappeared. What should have been a joyful beginning ended in tragedy. Initially, suspicion fell on Raj Kushwaha, believed to have a romantic connection with Sonam, suggesting jealousy as the motive.

However, as investigators analyzed phone records and tracked movements, the case took a shocking turn. Authorities concluded that the true mastermind was not a secret lover, but Sonam herself. She allegedly manipulated her husband with affection while secretly planning his death, recruiting three men — Vishal Singh, Anand Kurmi, and Akash Rajput — and promising them money to carry out the act.

Police believe Sonam tracked Raja’s movements during the trip, sharing his location with the attackers. Between May 23 and 24, he was likely ambushed and pushed into a gorge. In a disturbing twist, Raj Kushwaha later returned to Indore expecting to reunite with Sonam, only to discover she had been involved with another man and was allegedly planning to eliminate him as well.

The truth unraveled through digital evidence — call logs, location data, and messages that tied everything together. On June 8, Sonam was arrested and reportedly confessed. The case shocked the nation, raising haunting questions about trust, deception, and how love can be weaponized. What began as a honeymoon ended as a chilling reminder that sometimes the deepest betrayals come from those closest to us.
