For years, my mother-in-law had something to say about my makeup—too much blush, lipstick too bold, eyeliner too thick. At first, I brushed it off with a smile, hoping that eventually she would accept me as I was. But after enduring countless small criticisms, I realized it wasn’t just about makeup anymore.
