Food giant Heinz has issued a recall of a popular barbecue product often used during 4th of July celebrations after officials warned of a potential contamination that could pose a serious health risk.
According to safety authorities, the recall was announced due to what experts described as a “reasonable probability of death or severe illness” if the contaminated product is consumed. The issue was discovered during routine safety checks.
The company has urged consumers to immediately check their refrigerators and avoid using the affected product. Customers who purchased the item are advised to return it to the store for a full refund.
Heinz stated that consumer safety remains its top priority and that it is cooperating with regulators to investigate the source of the contamination and prevent similar incidents in the future.
